When can I leave Rookgaard and can I return there once I have entered the main continent?
You may leave Rookgaard as soon as you have reached level 8. To do so, go to the oracle in the village.
If you leave Rookgaard with level 9 or above, you will find that you gain fewer hit points, mana, skills etc. than you would have received if you had left Rookgaard with level 8. These reduced values will not be readjusted!
Also, please note that it is impossible to return to Rookgaard unless a character dies often enough so that the level is reduced to 6. If this happens, characters are completely reset. This means they will reappear on Rookgaard with level 1. They will lose all of their equipment and carried items as well as any levels, skills, spells, and the money in their bank account.

How do I send mail in DarkOT?
In all towns of DarkOT there is a postal service which allows you to send messages or items to other players' depots. All you need to do is to buy a letter or a parcel at the post office. Write the name of the addressee in the first line and the name of the hometown in the second line of the letter or the label. Also, if it is a parcel you would like to send, do not forget to place the label in it. Once you have completed this, simply post your letter or parcel in one of the blue mailboxes.
|
|
My letter or my parcel is stuck on the mailbox. Why does the sending fail?
Please check if the addressee's and the city's name are spelled correctly. A single typing error such as a superfluous letter or a blank space behind the name can be enough for the sending to fail. If it is a parcel you would like to send, make sure you placed the label in it. Also note that you need to have a parcel or a letter that has not been used before for sending mail. Mail that has already been stamped will not be delivered a second time, And it's not possible to send letters or parcels to characters living in another world.

What is the secure mode and how can I turn it off?
Characters set to secure mode cannot attack other characters that are not marked by a skull. This way it is not possible to attack innocent bystanders or friends by accident. Note that you can always defend yourself against attacks in this mode because aggressors will be marked automatically. Also, keep in mind that the secure mode will not prevent that your character may get a skull mark if he causes damage, e.g. by fire fields or explosions.
Your character is in secure mode by default. If you want to switch to normal mode, click on the button with the white hand symbol to the right of your inventory to turn it into a fist symbol. In this mode you can freely attack all other characters. Keep in mind, however, that your character will receive a skull mark if you attack unmarked characters.
|
|
What happens when my premium time runs out?
When the premium time on your account expires, the account will become a normal free account again, i.e. you will lose all special premium benefits. For example, your promotions will be suspended, you will not be able to cast promotion spells, and you cannot visit premium areas anymore (Mistrock, Helheim, Okolnir, Tyrsung). If you should decide to donate for more premium time, all features will be reactivated, i.e. you do not need to buy the promotion spells again.
Your characters' skill values and experience levels will remain unchanged.

When you kill another player in a PVP world, you either kill him justified (he had a skull when you killed him).
